Well, I can tell I'm a little rusty since this is the third time I'm writing this entry after erasing it the other two times. Ugh. Anyway, since my favorite little sister moved back to Chatty, she offered to let me use her camera so now I have things to post again! (Thanks Lou Lou) We've had a busy but great couple of months. We spent the beginning of August in New England at Gerald's grandparents' cottage in New Hampshire. We were joined by Gerald's parents and siblings and a couple of aunts, uncles, and cousins. We had so much fun picking blueberries and strawberries, going to York Beach in Maine, and just hanging out and catching up. Of course it was too short as always!
Other than that life has been just regular busy - except for one thing - Roger has decided he's ready for potty training! I'll spare you the gory details, but about a month ago he kept going into the bathroom and pointing to his diaper. So for fun Gerald and I got out his little potty and sat him on it - to our shock, he sat down and went! We thought it was a really funny coincidence until the next day when he went every time we sat him on it. Now he's only in diapers for nap time and at night (which our wallets are rejoicing over). Let me just say too, it's so great to have a boy b/c he can go outside if we're in a pinch. I will say though that I've learned a lesson in checking which way the wind is blowing first. He's growing up so fast! Anyway, here a few catch up pictures.

Nothing like getting your feet wet er....head . This was shot at our church family retreat - it's always so much fun, I love going and can't believe we have to wait another year to go again!
Gerald entertained everyone singing everything from "Country Boy" to "The Gambler"- it was hilarious and quite good actually. He has a knack for helping people have fun.
Here's Roger and his friend, Kathryn. She was hanging out with us one day and wanted to badly to use the potty too so I let her sit on top instead - of course Roger wanted to sit with her.
So, that's it for now, I'll try and do better to keep everyone updated from here on out!

CONGRATS on the potty training! Well you did know he was going to be a SELF disciplined child! Who does he take after? :) Seriously, that is so great!

Hooray! Good job on a new post!! It was a good one! Love the pics and you have one amazing little guy ... can he come hang out with Jude for awhile and give him some potty training advice? :) Love you!
