Our church had a community end of summer waterfest (yeah, in Georgia the kids are all back to school this week, it's crazy, I know). All the kids had SO much fun! And since Roger has a really fun Daddy, Roger had a great time too! They had a waterslide and blow up slip n' slide that had me almost wishing I was in my swimsuit (emphasis on "almost"). Roger was one of the only little kids going on the rides - one six year old boy said "Roger is the bravest boy in our whole church!" and our pastoral intern and friend, Daniel, nicknamed him "Wreckin' ball" which seems pretty accurate. It seems each time we show up to church he's got a new scratch or bump or bruise. The boy has no fear. Here are a few pictures to let you in on the action (again these pictures were taken by Willa at ibachphotography.com):
Perfect Form:
1. Begin with the ol' running start....

2. Then the power slide...
(Who's having more fun? Roger the II or III?)

3. Close those eyes (mine too)...

4. Open your eyes and enjoy the ride...

5. Smile when you get to the end.

The brave duo.

Soaking wet and couldn't be happier....

The big slide - Roger loved that too.

Thanks for enjoying with me - these are going to be favorites of mine for a long time to come!
