A Boy and His Boots

My Aunt Miriam gave Roger these boots when he was about three months old. Last week when I was putting away some clothes that Roger outgrew, I caught sight of them again. They fit perfectly! And, of course, he doesn't want to take them off. He especially loves the red lights that light up on the sides when he jumps - or whatever you call his jumping. For as active and coordinated as he is in general, his "jumping" is a bit of a joke. It's a cross between a walk and a skip - I'll have to try and get a video of it - it's pretty funny. But for now, here are some shots of him wearing the boots.

When I went in to get him from his nap - this is what I found.

Then watching TV ("TB") and eating fruit snacks - this kid's had more fruit snacks....

And here he is the day after he got them when I went in to get him in the morning.

And cooking in his undies - and boots, of course.

Awe, how cute! I remember as a child, I had a pair of red girl's cowboy boots (cowgirl boots) which I loved to wear any chance I got. They were so different, so they were fun to wear. One just 'feels' like a different character in a pair of boots! How cute that Roger puts them on first thing in the morning. Wouldn't it be cool to know what he's thinking. He's got such a great imagination and he's so smart!
