Covenant College Lady Scots are #1!!!

What a game! We were all hoarse and my hands hurt from clapping! Covenant was in second place and their rival, Milligan, in first in the AAC. From the first second the game was fast-paced and tense - a great match-up. You can read all the details at http://athletics.covenant.edu/?module=displaystory&story_id=1100&format=html, but they won! I can't imagine what it must be like to watch your own child play and do that awesome - my heart was in my throat watching my sister! My personal highlights was when the first basket of the game, she took it up strong to score, no maybe when she she ducked around their tall girl to sink a basket, or possibly when she packed the same girl later on, no it must be when she sunk her free throws like there weren't a couple hundred people watching and screaming their brains out. Actually my proudest moment was when I heard that a visitor said, "Man, when number 30 was in there, I knew it was going to be okay, but whenever she went out you just weren't sure what was going to happen. Laura, I'm really proud of the fact that you're an awesome basketball player. But much, much, much more than that I am so proud of the way you lead the girls by your strength of character and your trust in the Lord. Okay, so my heart's back in my throat, I better stop. CONGRATULATIONS LOU LOU (LAURA, GRADY, LA, ETC)!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!
